I received a ridiculous fine for a mop drying on my patio, I replied to have the fine over turned& enquiring any progress on 2 break-ins prior, the response was that the matters would be escalated& feedback reverted, no response.1month later I receive a notice to vacate within 16 days reason being"rent shall be paid in full"My rent is on debit order& had been debited accordingly, I called Arlene at admin she said-oops it's actually your outstanding fine, I explained that I'm awaiting feedback, she refused to listen& threatened a bad credit reference if I reported it. I reluctantly paid the fine, the notice to vacate was a scare tactic. I have not heard anything about the break-ins where I lost R24k but a minuscule R250 fine seems more important to vacate& have my credit reference affected.

I gave notice a few months later, a second fine was then sent for using my patio to dry clothes as the ONLY WASHING LINE ASSIGNED TO 70 UNITS WAS INEVETABELY FULL photos were taken snapping us in the garden& inside which was a gross invasion of privacy, I voiced my opinion on the matter& contested the fine. A few days later we moved out, I received a letter of demand instructing me to pay the R250 fine.
