What a pleasure - using CIPC to register my company was so quick and painless I can hardly believe that I am now officially a business owner. When I deposited my R175 for registering the company name and company itself, the balance reflected the very next day. I then put in my proposed name application and it was approved in 2 days! I then put in my application for lodging the company and it was all done and dusted in a matter of 4 days! I see there are quite a few complaints on this site, but I can't understand why. If you work systematically through the process and follow the instructions and ensure you have all your admin sorted (like sending through proof of payment, having all the documentation at hand that you need and working electronically) then there will be no hitches. I phoned the call centre twice and got good service. The only thing that needs improvement is the answering of the phones - each time I've phoned I've had to wait for about 20 minutes to be helped. But to be honest, all the work can be done electronically anyway so there is no real need to have to phone in. Well done CIPC!!
