CIPC IS BEYOND USELESS / INCOMPETENT

Letter written to responsible person. According to CIPC Service Standards, the application for changes in Directorship of a Company should not take longer than 30 working days (6 WEEKS OR 42 CALENDER DAYS).
Eighty Three (83) calendar days (12 WEEKS)..!! have elapsed since the submission was made. It has thus taken double the time it should and as far as I can gather IT IS NOT COMPLETE AS YET..!!
Our profession as Business Brokers are highly reliant on the performance of CIPC and so is that of Accounting Firms. Many Accounting Firms are experiencing the same frustrations as we do and some companies have CLOSED Business due to lack of action on CIPC's part.
The situation within CIPC is not up to standard and we are seriously contemplating taking this matter to a higher level. The Estate Agents Affairs Board came under the spotlight via the media and their INCOMPENTENCE resulted in them being placed under Provisional Administration. This is not a threat, we have pursued all avenues with CIPC and are at this stage seriously contemplating forwarding all our communications with CIPC to the PRESS if we receive no satisfactory response from you.
