It's not by choice that you supply me with powe

Politics & Government

I purchased a prepaid voucher for R100 at Pick n Pay. Unfortunately I gave them the wrong meter number as I recently moved flats in the same complex. I contacted their customer services using the email on the website, on how could I go about changing this voucher to my meter. I was advised to go to Booysens who could help. I then went to Booysens as advised and after making the effort to drive there I was thoroughly disappointed with the response I was given. I spoke to an individual by the name of Derek who was particularly rude to my issue. He went on to tell me that they "don't run a spaza shop" and that since "the amount is only R100 not R1000" it was immaterial and I should take my issue up with the person staying at the flat that has that meter number. This even after I mentioned that if negotiating to get my money from that individual was an option, I would have already taken that up rather than taking the long drive there. I still would like my issue to be resolved as the amount is material to me- it may not be R1000 but it makes a difference in my life. It's not by choice that I have to buy electricity from them. And yes spaza shops don't refund but city power isn't one!
