We installed an electricity prepaid August 2012 on the recommendation of Power City Johannesburg. We have been receiving electricity bills with electricity meter readings on since then. Despite numerous e-mails and calls, we get no response and empty promises. We were told by customer service that they "can see there is a new meter" and need to activate the new prepaid meter to our account so that they don't bill us for electricity anymore. But where do they get those readings from? We get charged for fake readings? We getting demanding threatening letters to pay outstanding amount or our services will be cut. Numerous attempts has been made to contact and arrange, begging to sort this out. Numerous emails sent to directors and client services of City Power Johannesburg and have track record of calls and emails logged since 2012 August. We get no response. We are forced to pay because we can not afford services to be cut. This is unlawful enrichment.
