On Monday, 23 December 2013, I sent a package through Speed Service Couriers via the Post Office before 12h00. I paid the required amount for next day delivery, i.e. R307.27.

This package was meant to be delivered to Secunda on the 24th of December. After numerous calls to the call center I was told that due to a technical error the package was at the Jhb airport and would only be delivered on Friday, 27th. On Friday, I was told that the package was collected to late from the airport and the drivers had already gone on their deliveries. Now my package would only arrive in secunda on Monday. On Monday, when I contacted the Post Office I was told that the package had been at the secunda post office since Saturday. I have filled out a complaint form and emailed speed services complaining about their poor service delivery and communication. I have not had a response since the 24th of December. I do believe I should be refunded or compensated as I paid for an overnight delivery yet it took my package almost 5 days to reach its destination. What is even more disappointing is the fact that no one from speed services has had the decency to contact me.
