Beware of Kwikot

This company, in the past, before the cost-cutting era, used to make quality products, you could get 20 years' worth of service out of them.
The products now, are utter junk, especially the notorious 600 DUAL model. I am now in my second home and this is the second time I am seeing a repeat of the same failures. This time, the unit is under warranty, with apparently two years left to go. Same issue as in my previous house, the element has gone, the only difference is this one trips the earth leakage (so the element sheath has got a hole in it and makes contact with water). I am willing to bet R1000 that we replace the element now, in exactly 13 months I will find it will start leaking.

I am having the unit removed today and claiming from insurance and I have given them strict instructions not to install any Kwikot product as a replacement. I find the Builder's pride units to be superior in quality.

I have also done a bit of reading up, and saw the one complaint here where the MD of Kwikot swore at the customer on an open and public forum such as this. This sort of thing really makes me not want to deal with this company. (I confirmed it is the MD... enough detail on website)
