Negligence of my boarding pet leading to his death

Had a horrific experience whereby our dear pet chameleon was placed in their care whilst we went on holiday, we arrived back 8 days later to find a SEVERELY dehydrated, lethargic and near- dead pet!! I had signed consent beforehand to agree that a vet my be consulted if need arise at my expense, but this was clearly ignored. I phoned once during my trip to see how he was doing and nothing was said about his poor condition. I arrived to fetch unannounced to be told to take him to the vet as he had looked terrible for 2 days already! He died less than 24 hours after leaving this shop! Upon re-visiting the store, my Fiance was ignored by the Manager, no apology! I have contacted the owner who said that she would visit the store to find out specific details of my chameleons "care", however, she has not gotten back to me with feedback, even after I've requested closing feedback twice since!
