Motorcycle World
Disappointed in the quality of service delivered

Miscellaneous

On Wednesday 2wks ago I sent my bike in to have the tyre replaced. I contacted the bike shop that sold the bike, prior to having the tyre replaced and was told a 140/17/70 tyre would be ideal to have, even though it had a 120/17/70 on. The 140 tyre was put on. When I got my bike back the chain guide cover was touching the tyre badly, the chain guide was bent & destroyed, further to that the back wheel bearing wasn't even advised to be replaced.

Last week I managed to send the bike back to get the correct tyre & wheel bearing done.
When I got my bike back, the chain tensioner was completely loose & worse than that, there was a shudder on the bike as I rode it - the bolt under the engine is loose & went unnoticed at Motorcycle world.
I would have thought that the technicians working on bikes would be able to distinguish the difference between & advise accordingly:
1. An incorrect tyre being placed on the bike
2. The effect the incorrect tyre would have on the chain cover
3. Noticing a back wheel bearing that needed to be replace
4. Being able to tighten the chain tensioner in the hopes of safety of the bike rider

I was told that they are very busy because the Eagle Rally!
