ON THE LOSE

I took in clothes in to be altered. Conveniently, one trench coat got missing and the owner denied having knowledge of it. This trench coat had sentimental value to me because it belonged to my late mom. Each time I went to check on the coat, the owner and gave a different story as to why I cannot get it. These stories ranged from the coat being dry cleaned to the tailors not sewing it properly and thus ordering it to be re-done. This is not the FIRST experience with this tailor but fortunately the first time I insisted on searching for my silk top myself and I found it. As I was relating my story and frustration, THREE (3) other people complained of the owner taking things in and then denying knowledge of them! I realise this might be how how the owners make some of their profit, i.e. taking people's stuff in and 'losing them' in order to resell them but it is disgusting to say the least! The owner promised to re-check and 4 months later I still wait. To say I am livid would be the understatement of the decade!! The date of the incident is the day I took my clothes in for alterations.
