Almost brand new couch's fabric fading

So, I submitted a complaint to Mega Couch about my almost brand new couch which is not even 5 months old. The couch is dark blue/navy (almost black) and half of it has faded to a brown/purple hue. The couch is rarely used, and mostly serves as a decorative piece. At the rate which the couch's fabric is fading, the couch will look like it's been in use for many years before this year is over.

The couch was collected last night and this afternoon I received a call from Brenda stating that they (the owners) are unwilling to do anything about the matter. No details were given about why this matter will not be attended to. I then asked for the owner's contact details or for her to put me through to the owner, she said she is not authorised to so. So I just have to accept the owner's response without even discussed it with him/her?

Anyways, I am almost 100% confident that the consumer protection act is on my side with regards to this matter. I expect that this couch is either repaired in an acceptable manner, which will entail the fabric being replaced, or I want my money back.
