I have bought some dive gear online from Scubastore [URL Removed] I have made double sure about the shipping and any custom charges. The 1 piece was said 4 days for stock to arrive (24/142/2013), understanding that there is public holidays I expected only in new year delivery around 2-3rd Jan 2014.
The charges for courier service DHL was ridiculously high for a parcel under 1kg (nearly same price as for a parcel to USA from RSA weighing 23kg).
Received a call asking to confirm details and here I receive another invoice for almost R500.00 (supposedly Customs). I have rechecked the website only to find nothing is said once again, not even on the invoice.
I phoned the company, couldn't hear what they say because of bad telephone lines and seconds later I receive an email stating I have to pay the R500 if I want my parcel.
At the end I am paying more for the goods then what I would have paid for if I bought it from a supplier in South Africa Dive shop.
It has cost me R1700 on customs & courier service only to receive goods worth R2100.00!
I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT NOBODY BUY FROM [URL Removed] / [URL Removed] or any other links these might have including SCUBASTORE!
