Dead Flowers

Internet & Web

Dewald Werth, based in Luxembourg, sent flowers to his Mum in Cape Town for her birthday on 13 February 2013 using NetFlorist. The flowers, Proteas, arrived looking OK but within 3 days were drooping.By the 4th day they were dead. Florence Werth [ Mum] complained and mailed a photo to NetFlorist as evidence. Nico from NetFlorist responded that because the complaint was not received within 48 hours of delivery there is nothing they can do. Point is - the quality or storage of the flowers was inadequate which was only apparent when they faded. No one spends hundreds of rands sending flowers to a loved one only to have them last 3 days. Any reputable florist will guarantee flowers for at least a week, if not two. After some correspondence back and forth eventually Nico offered R100 off the Werths next purchase by way of compensation. Not good enough. NetFlorist should replace the bouquet at no charge. why would the Werth's use NetFlorists service again when it was poor the first time around? I am speaking on behalf of Mrs Werth who does not have email. I am a family member who witnessed the flowers and took the photo.
