Flowers not delivered for mother's 60th birthday

I had ordered a big bunch of flowers to be delivered to my mother for her 60th birthday. The flowers were never delivered and when I followed up with netflorist they replied that the florist in question had been offline hence the order did not go through (even though the money was deducted from my bank account).

I have ordered from them on numerous occasions before and have always been happy with their service, but given this was such a big occasion I was rather surprised when all I got was a curt offer to either deliver the flowers several days late or receive a refund as the fault was indirectly not theirs (reading between the lines).

In future I shall think twice before using them again as it seems I will have to check up every time in case the florist was offline...
