Accounts Department Submitted to wrong Medical aid

I was at Sunward Park hospital around the 17 January 2013 at the emergency rooms. Unfortunatly i did not have my current medical aid details and due to my details been on the system the nursing staff agreed to treat me and i would have supplied them with the correct medical aid details the following morning. Which I did.
Now months later this bill is now outstanding and was never submitted to the correct medical aid, and Sunward Park is just pulling up their shoulders and saying i should pay the outstanding amount.
I have made arrangements but feel that this could have been different if the accounts department only did the right thing. And now the medical aid will not pay for it due to the 3 months that has passed.
