SPOILT HOLIDAY DUE TO RENOVATIONS

We booked in at the Elangeni Hotel on t April. Only one lift was working and there was no hot water. we complained to the manager, Mr Zulu who apologized and said that he would refund us for the night. That night we received a letter informing us that renovations are taking place from 8 to 4. However the next morning before 7 we were awakened by extremely loud knocking and moving of poles just below our room window in the pool area. We went out for the day and returned later that afternoon to find that the noise was deafening such that we couldn't even hear the television. This continued till after 7 at night. The next morning we were woken up at 2.45 a.m.by the sound of workers talking and moving steel rods on the pool deck. The next day we had to spend the entire day in our room as my child was too sick to leave the room. What a nightmare - the sound of heavy machinery and drilling in the pool deck below my window as well as workers hanging outside my window painting. What was to be a relaxing and peaceful holiday turned out to be one filled with anger and frustration. I am really so disappointed as this was my worst holiday ever.
