Free eye tests or just an advertising stunt?

Health & Medicine

Good day, I've been to the phoenix plaza spec savers today (04/04/12) went to have an eye test done so I could take that to the licensing offices but unfortunately when I got there I was told to come back the next morning because they have had enough eye tests done for the day which was accepted but I explained that I needed it done today cause I'm leaving early in the morning, one of the lady's agreed but turned around and said to the other ; "looks like we're turning a tuck shop here, we've had over 10 people come in". Afterwards she took me in for an eye test and said to me my eyes are bad and therefore she cannot give me the required document. I do not know if that was really the case and whether I need glasses or she just said that to get rid of me. Spec savers advertise for free eye tests, is that really the case or are we being to?
