Kids Right to Good Sight

Health & Medicine

I made an appointment for my daughter (7) with SPEC-SAVERS Ballito.

SPEC-SAVERS advertise Kids Right to Good sight - offering kids 6 - 12 years of age a FREE EYE TEST, FRAME & CLEAR LENSES!

I was told by SPEC-SAVERS Ballito that I need to supply a copy of her birth certificate, and that she must have her eyes tested between 8am and 12 am as the eyes are then best responsive to the test early in the morning, and that we can only qualify for this promotion during that times. I complied to this. My daughter had her eyes tested this morning @ 8:30am.

Then I received the quotation. The total quote comes to R 5567.00 with the patients portion R 2628.20.

When I questioned this - I was told that they do not have frames that fit, so I have to pay, and her "eye condition" and script strength is not covered by this!!!

REALLY NOW?

SPEC-SAVERS in Centurion (Mall @ Reds) supplied her a pair of glasses last year - free of charge, no exclusions - and the service I received from them was excellent!
