Handed over without even knowing i owed!!!

I just received an sms from SCS/L Marks attorneys saying that i have been handed over to them for none payment of a LANCET Lab account, for 7/ 2012.
my husband said he was contacted by lancet for the o/s pmt, i asked him why and for when, as far as i know we had never received an acc, they normally send by mail but no one has ever contacted myself or my husband before this, when he made me aware of this i contacted the call centre almost immediately on 11/03/2013 and asked them to foward me an account via email, but they never did, i had to contact them again on the 13th and asked to send one via email, which i received, when i received the account i contacted our Medical aid to find out the reason for short payment, they said the lab should not have charged the specific code 10x on one day but should have done it one day at a time.i told the medical aid it was necessary for it to be done that way, they said i should contact the lab and ask them to send me a motivated letter stating the reasons as to why it was charged for that specific code 10x on one day, i did just that and Lancet refused to help me saying it couldnt be done, and now im being handed over... ridiculous
