I emailed a claim to Bankmed on 25 February 2013 and received absolutely no correspondence from anybody since then. I decided to call Bankmed today to enquire about turnaround time for a claim etc. I was informed by a very incompetent and useless call centre agent that only one part of my claim had been received i.e. the hospital bill. Firstly, I sent through the hospital bill and the doctor's bill in ONE pdf document, so how is it possible to only have one half of the document on your records? Secondly, surely if miraculously one of the two sheets of ONE pdf document wasn't on record for some reason (which i'm sure is inefficiency on your part) then one of your agents could have contacted me to ask me to resend it. Here I am waiting for a claim to be paid to me (after footing a R32000 bill out of my own pocket), over a week after submitting the claim and the agents on your end are twiddling their thumbs. Useless medical aid, if I was not obliged to be on Bankmed because I work for a bank, Bankmed WOULD NEVER be my medical aid of choice! Get your act together!
