Protea Hotel Dorpshuis spoils family weekend

My family are regular Protea hotels guests. We are originally from Stellenbosch and the past weekend (08 - 11 February) we visited to celebrate a family wedding. Unfortunately, I decided not to stay at Protea Hotel Stellenbosch this time, because a large tour group is staying there for the month. Seeing the opportunity to rather enjoy some quiet time with my family I opted to stay at Protea Hotel Dorpshuis, choice that I deeply regret since the day we booked in. The only compliment I can give would be to the restaurant for the excellent food and service. Otherwise I feel that I have been misled by your company's claims of offering four star services. In my opinion, Hotel Dorpshuis is by comparison well below par compared to many three star Protea hotels our family have frequented in the past. I certainly had much higher expectations from a four star establishment like this - this was certainly not value for money. As a result, Protea Hotel Dorpshuis and Spa cannot expect any future patronage from me, nor a positive testimonial.
