PROTEA HOTEL MAFIKENG

I booked at this establishment for the weekend of the 30th November 2013. On the morning of December 1st, my wife woke up to find that the hotel room door was wide open, after having double locked the door the previous night.

On inquiry the next morning, we were informed that management were investigating. No one came back to us until I lodged a complaint via the Protea channels 48 hours later. Now the explanation they provided to us fails to adequately address the questions: who broke into our room? What were they looking for?

My wife and I were endangered by this hotel, and it does not look like anyone was aware of it! Further, the lack of a proper explanation tells me that they are trying to cover something up.

This is highly disappointing and would encourage anyone who reads this to be very careful where they choose to stay. I certainly will not be staying at any Protea Hotel again.
