DR G Chasumba, REF NO-CHAS4018

On 26/11/2012, whilst admitted at Brenthurst Clinic, I was referred to Dr G Chasumba, the general surgeon, practice number-0091758, both a Gastroscopy, Sigmoidoscopy and Diagnostic Laparoscopy were performed by him. This doctor never in any advised me that he does not bill the medical, or give me a quotation so as I can pay him and claim from my medical aid. Only today, 28/01/2014, I received the first correspondence from his representatives-Pracmed, demanding I pay the amount of R3456.18. Since I was discharged from the hospital on 29/11/2012, I have never received any letter/statement from this practitioner, a year and 2 months after the incident i receive a statement demanding payment.
I have already reported him to HPCSA, Council of Medical Schemes, and in the process of taking legal action and suing him and I will in any way make this matter a media frenzy, I am disgusted by how this Dr is unprofessional, both legally and ethical, this is an unjust practice imposed on me.
