Complaint - Dr D.Ngoma (12.01.2013)

I went to casualty at Wilgeheuwel on 12.01.13 not being able to breath, I was told I would be seen to immediately, i was left sitting at the admin desk for 1.5hrs! When I was eventually given a bed the Dr came to see me for 2 mins left again & returned half an hour later to do the same test the nurse had already done, pointing out that if my oxygen reads 95 or more I am fine (i repeated the exact same thing to him, letting him know it would be, however my problem was shortness of breath due to my Extraesophageal symptoms of GERD due to my lax LES!) He then brushed me off & told me nothing was wrong with me & that I could breath. Now given the circumstances, the feeling of not being able to breath can cause a panic attack in which case he should have treated me for that! He had a blatant disregard for my symptoms & told me I was fine, without listening to me - now surely as the patient, experiencing the discomfort I would know best what I was feeling and that I was struggling to breath! I have never in my life been treated so badly by a doctor & then charged over R600.00 for 2 minutes of his time - I believe EVERYONE there that night complained, one actually taking it to the papers.
