Don't bother calling over weekends

Despite the fact the Discovery website says "Contact Us 24hrs a day, 365 days a year" this is apparently meaningless unless you have a meaningless query.

I phoned in to query why a prescribed minimum benefit of an approved registered oncology case was not paid (with the reason that a treatment plan had not been submitted) on Sunday I was told no one could help me.

I got very irate because Discovery make you jump through all their hoops to get the authorisations but then you must phone back when its convenient for them after they slip up. Long story short I was promised by Brandon Mocktare (a so called team leader or supervisor) that he had passed on my query to the oncology department and marked it as urgent and they would contact me ASAP.

Now a whole working day later - and guess what - no call - no follow up - no email - nothing!

So thanks Discovery - thanks for keeping hard working honest people out of their work during weekdays to follow up on your jobs - thanks for delivering what you promise - maybe you should just promise to not deliver and that way you'll never disappoint?
