Discovery Medical Aid is a rip off

I am a member of Discovery Medical Aid. On the 5th of February 2013 i went to Clinton Hospital for a Ceasear. As per Discovery rules and regulations before one goes into hospital Discovery requests that one should get pre-authorization for hospital stay. I do not understand what the point of this is because Discovery pays whatever they want to pay then a few months down the line one gets billed for services that Discovery decided to short pay. I think it would only be decent of Discovery if and when we book for hospital stay that we are advised which doctors and anesthetists and pediatricians to use because the know should know better. Unlike you go to the hospital with minimal information. I do not understand why we have to pay so much for Medical Aid but get half the service we pay for.
It is really not fair. And i just do not understand why they cannot inform us that the person one is using charged way more than Discovery Rates. And who chose for that anesthetist to operate on me??? I did not sign anything to authorize that anesthetist. Instead of making me pay the anesthetist they should have taken it up with him. But am getting bills from the anesthetist that i owe him.
