What the? Really!

I went to Medicross to consult my GP as the pharmacist recommended I do so for antibiotics for a spider bite. Medicross advised that Momentum Access cancelled their contracts with Medicross in Jan 2013 - I ended up paying cash. I lodged an enquiry with Momentum and they told me that this was true. I live in Benoni, their preferred doctors in my surrounding area are in Springs or Heidelburg! One thing I did make extremely clear to Momentum when I joined was that I wanted to be able to go to MediC. No formal notification was sent to me confirming this change - yet every month they happily take my money and expect me to drive 30km for a GP!! When asked if I could change my scheme I was advised that I would only be able to do so in Nov 2013 which will end up costing me double if I chose to pick my own doctor. I asked if I could cancel and they told me I have to give notice - since I have been on my own scheme I have only gone to the doc once and that was this morning when I had to pay for it myself! So disappointed, I complimented Momentum on Hello Peter after I went onto my own scheme - pity I didn't know that I would end up paying for something like this!
