I am disgusted with your lack of care for members in a medical emergency. My wife is lying in pain and needs a surgery done as in yesterday after the doctor sent her to hospital. Yes, she has not been on the scheme for 9 months yet only 4 months. A Person should think that a well known medical scheme like Discovery would actually give an authorization in a case of severe pain and emergency.
When the policy got sold to us we were specifically told that there is no waiting period for emergencies and we will get authorization on the spot. Guess that was only a sales pitch.
When we applied for the authorization we were told it will take 8 hours and followed up again today now its 3 days. We phoned our sales consultant and explained the situation and yet again she stated that this is wrong there should be no problem...
Maybe its just a case that you don't want to spend the money??? Making us feel like its our fault and looking to milk you???
We are sick and tired of speaking to your call centre agents can somebody please contact us who can assist.
I don't want to see my wife in pain like this anymore with a medical aid that won't help,
