Discovery is Disgusting

I was advised, by who I thought was a caring individual from Discovery, to move my Hospital Plan for my family to a Key Care Plan as its "like the hospital plan but just has a network of hospitals you can go to" and that little bit cheaper. In December when my husband tried to get me into hospital as I was having the worst pain of my life. I had developed a huge abscess on my coccyx. I have given birth naturally and I would have rather have gone through that pain again than what I was feeling from the abscess. Discovery would not allow me medical attention in that emergency.

The abscess has developed into a recurring abscess due to Discovery's lack of help initially. Today I was rushed to Carstenhof Hospital (the KeyCare Network approved one), with crippling pain and again I was turned away from being admitted into emergency surgery. The abscess sits right next to my coccyx and as it gets bigger I cannot walk or stand up straight due to the pain it puts on my spine. I went through intense pain as they had to drain it with a needle and syringe while I was awake.

The doctor who treated me today even advised me to move to another medical aid because he felt it was disgusting!
