"NO WAITING PERIOD" is a lie!

I decided to add my hubby as dependant no 2 on my medical aid, as he doesnt have one. they confirmed joining on 1 nov, and said that because he is under 35 there is no waiting period, and i asked if we can visit the doctor or hospital they said yes. on the 8 nov we visited the gp and he gave us a referral letter to arwyp hospital because he was struggling to breath. he was admitted. didnt know we neede authorization number from gp. since my hubby's admission i ve been calling the medical aid for authorization, and the gp's and specialist have filled all the required info, but we still DONT have the auth number. i am now depressed because the hospital have been asking for the auth from me, saying that otherwise they will make the account private! how on earth am i going to pay this big amount?? he was discharged on the 13 nov and other bills are not settled. why does discovery to me to add another member knowning that they will not cover? i am so crossed if they dont settle this hospital bill i will join another medical aid and cancel them- even though they have been good to me in the past! please sort this out ASAP
