My father was hospitalized from the 20th of June and had surgery (Heart bypass). The operation was not successful, and my father passed away on the 2nd of July. In September 2013 my mother received an account from the Netcare Hospital Practice No. 0088978, for an amount of R19 750.34 payable. I send it to discovery for payment and they were looking for nappi codes which I also send them on the 12th of September. Today the Hospital account department contacted us, more than 2 months later to tell that they are going to give the account over to the attorneys as they still have not been paid. Nobody from discovery contacted us to inform us why the account is not paid. I have contacted the call centre, and lady told me the reason for no payment was about a Section21. I don't see any reason why this account cannot be paid, as the treatment/medication was given in hospital. I am really disappointed that discovery is not giving feedback regarding account payments. It is very unprofessional.
