Not informed of costs

Absolutely no response from bankmed, i was never informed that i would have to pay in R17000 for an operation. They gave authorization and all they can tell me is that they told the hospital to tell me of the amount i would have to pay. Wich i was never informed about. I have already payed the anaethetist outstanding balance.
And now to get anything out of bankmed is impossible. I have asked for managers or someone to contact me numerous times and nothing. Now i have the hospital calling me weekly threatening to hand me over. I pay my medical aid every month and this is absolutely rediculous.
