Best restaurant in Johannesburg, The Local Kitchen

In April 2012 we stumbled on The Local Kitchen after visiting the Bryanston Post Office.

We have dined around the world from the Nobu in Copenhagen (voted best in the world in 2010) to the Casbah in Alberton (ahem!), but have never enjoyed a restaurant as much as The Local Kitchen.

Piers (the owner) runs a restaurant that has NEVER let us down and we go there about 6 times per week. We have had our company end of year function at The Local Kitchen and they regularly cater for internal client events.

The food is delicious, consistent, and fairly priced. The service is impeccable and the standards are out of the top drawer.

After 10 months of exceptional service, great food, and all round wonderful experience at The Local Kitchen, I feel comfortable giving them a 100% recommendation. But please don't all go there at once and take all the tables. Leave some space for the real 'locals'.
