Brooklyn Optica
Unpleasant Experience at Brooklyn Optica

Health & Medicine

I went to get my eyes tested 01/08/2013 at Brooklyn Optica in Pretoria with Linda Lochner which prescribed lenses with multi vocal focus points for my new pair I ordered. I do not need very strong lenses or a catch net for my eyes to focus on closer objects. I have been wearing glasses from the age of 8 yrs&never had a pair of glasses that gave me such trouble. The prescription for my new pair was uncomfortable, for that reason not always used when needed. Brooklyn Optica charged me R6254, the medical aid paid R3203&the balance of R3051 I paid. I went to get my eyes re-tested for an additional opinion&the Optometrist prescribed single vision glasses which in my case is perfect. I took my current lenses to Brooklyn Optica for them to refund me as I do not want to make use of their services anymore. Jorina spoke to me today&told me that the laboratory that made the lenses window period is 3 months&that they will not be able to refund me. She also told me that Linda Lochner said that the result of the test according to her was right, not taking in consideration the client's needs. Now I have to pay for my new lenses&eye test because my medical aid is depleted. Can you kindly assist me. Marelize
