I have had a sanparks wildcard since they first started. Each year I pay my R340 and each year I am turned away from some or other entrance (mainly west coast national park) because apparently my card is "invalid".
This became such a problem that I had to start carrying a letter from sanparks (as well as my valid card) to confirm that my card was indeed valid. All this because Sanparks cannot get their act together to update their system.
Once again this year I was forced to pay cash at the west coast national park - even though my card is still valid... the same day I ws told my card was "invalid", I was sent an email from sanparks to remind me to renew my card in October!!!
I have since then been trying to get my money back from them. No apology from sanparks, just more high handed behaviour and forcing me to waste time sending emails, making phone calls, sending proof of payment etc. I WILL NEVER HAVE ANOTHER WILD CARD. TOTAL RIP OFFS!! AND SO INCOMPETENT IT IS ALMOST A JOKE...
And the cheek of the staff to keep telling me "you are not the only one complaining" Well why the heck don't they do something to fix it. How many more years of total incompetence...
