Ruined anniversary

Last night was my 7 year anniversary. We went for dinner at hydepark pool deck ordered our drinks and our mains. Which was a lamb rack and veal shank? After an hour of waiting at 9:30 did they only bring out the bread appetizer. A further 15 minute wait and our main meal had still not arrived we then asked our waitress what the delay was and another waiter came and told us that our order docket had been lost and that they had not even started preparing our food. He then in a very nonchalant manner said that they had run out of stock on the shank and i should choose another item from the menu. I honestly find this sickening had we not asked were our food was we would have been left to sit there like idle fools. When we questioned why they did not follow up with our order the response we received was just a shrug. Their entire demeanour towards us was very condescending and the apology was not sincere. I am highly disappointed that a restaurant of this calibre and can give such sub-standard service. Having lost our appetite and not being willing to wait another century for food. we left without eating, feeling dis-heartened and disappointed.
