Benefits not as promised

I am a member on Moto Health Medical Aid on the custom option. The benefits brocher says I am covered for "1 examination per annum and 1 pair of spectacles within a 24 month cycle per beneficiary" - I quote. When spec savers Shelly Beach tried claiming for an eye test I did. The medical aid told them no I am only covered for an eye test once every after 2 years. What is that? Promised something else and covered for nothing?

If this is the case I am worried what will happen if I have to claim for something serious? Will I be told no I am not covered?
