Hospital claim reversed more than a year late

On Monday 24 June 2013 I received an email from Discovery Claims stating that an amount paid for a claim from an orthopaedic surgeon who operated on my son in March 2012 had been reversed resulting in a negative amount being created on my account. No other details were given. On Wednesday 26 June I contacted Discovery to find out why this was done, the call centre representative (I think his name is Carl) couldn't find anything on the system and sent an email to the person who requested the reversal for more information. I have not received any feedback since. This negative amount has now resulted in claims not being paid out to me in full and I need to pay these claims myself. I find this totally unacceptable. The initial claim from March 2012 was paid to me and I in turn paid the surgeon in full. I cannot understand how these funds can now be taken from my account, as this was a hospital procedure with full authorisation. Unfortunately I don't have the authorisation detail anymore as I cannot go more than a year back on my claim statements. Could someone please assist me this and reimburse the funds that were reversed.
