I have been seeing a dentist at medicross, whom im very happy with. when i went there i was told i needed to pay R700 which has grown to R900, im having to pay this amount because the practice didnt send the claim through to medical Aid, i really dont think customers/patients should be paying and be disadvantaged because someone didnt do what they were meant to do. I have phoned on numerous times and got no joy and finally when i got the lady (Lizzy) she tells me that i'm responsible for the account (which is true, but they never sent the claim) had they done it and medical aid refused to pay i would obviously understand BUT they just didnt send the claim at all, i have been there numerous times and not once has anyone told me i need to send claims myself nor have they ever given me an invoice after the treatments i've had... and ofcause... no apology or anything along those lines, its really unprofessional and sickening that people do jobs half half.
