Pathcare invoiced medical aid and me for payment

Pathcare issued me with a letter of payment for an invoice that they claimed was fully rejected by my medical aid. he letter states a specific amount that I am responsible for. I paid that amount in full but struggled to get an invoice out of them for this claim that was rejected by my medical aid. The day after I paid they finally sent me the invoice (that I only wanted for tax purposes). Thank goodness I asked for the invoice as I saw that my medical aid paid part of the invoice but yet they claimed the full amount from me The part where I believe their dishonesty comes in is the fact that they sent me that letter for urgent payment only 5 days after the last blood test and even before the medical aid responded to all the claims on the invoice. So how did they know that the medical aid rejected the claims before the medical aid even responded. It is obvious that they claim from both parties the full amount on purpose and then if they get double payment and no one notices then score for them. How many patients have they deceived this way without it being picked up by the patients. And now the struggle ahead for me to get my refund as they have been ingoring my correspondense so far.
