Beware!!!

The Oasis Luxury Guest House was approached by Portfolio Collection to advertise in their booklets of South African Accommodation. The fee was R 12 000. We paid R the required deposits of R 8322.00 and then we hit a snag.

Each advertisement is allocated 6 lines of type in which to differentiate their product, besides a photograph and the main heading and footer with contact details. Portfolio's team sent through their suggestions of what to say, which we decided was boring and common to all the other advertisements. i.e "The Oasis offers quality and indulgent comfort in elegantly styled bedrooms", etc. Our ideas were to some how stand out and we requested point form statements followed by a small ticked box, i.e Let Us tick all your boxes, 5 star rating, Extensive breakfast included, Cleanliness, Free WI-FI. In no ways did we extend our line allocation. This was shot down in flames by their director stating that it did not follow his magazines over all format.
