Reversal of claims incorrectly paid from savings

On 31 January (yes 4 months ago) I spoke to one of the very friendly but equally as incompetent Discovery staff members assuring me that 100% of my claim will be covered. I questioned this three times but was constantly reassured that Discovery will cover the entire procedure. Call reference 2713268312 - Ramsamy.

Then another incompetent staff member paid the "in hospital" portion from my savings account (depleting the account) leaving me with a bill of a good few thousand to settle on my own. I discovered this after receiving a call from the medical practitioner.

So I called to determine what had happened (Mervin call reference 2763161090) advised that Discovery were aware that an error had occurred and were sorting it out. (I'm still waiting 4 months later).

I emailed on 4 April 2013 and received a response from Amlen Naicker 6 weeks later (10 May 2013) saying that they are still sorting out the mess that they created. Why even bother to respond with a statement that adds no value? (Mail reference 616862338)

I see I'm not the only person who's had to endure the wrath of Discovery's incompetence. 4 months and you cannot fix a problem that you created? Really?
