I submitted a claim last week. When checking the claim yesterday a portion of the claim was not paid. When speaking to your call centre this morning I was told that the reason the portion of the claim had been rejected is because the ICD10 code and Consultation code are not on the same line. WHAT??? You cannot be serious! Do Discovery have nothing better to do with their time? I know I have!!! I cannot believe that you will not pay a claim because the code ARE NOT ON THE SAME LINE - I am gobsmacked. Plus, when asking the logic behind this 'rule', your call centre agent was unable to tell me, so please, someone enlighten me, why do the two codes have to be on the same line before you will pay??? Now I have to run around getting this sorted out because Discovery are withholding R1000 of my money. I am just dumfounded!!!
