6 weeks later - R44 000 still outstanding

After more than a month of backwards and forwards and a variety of different reasons, I am still waiting on discovery to pay R66 000 for a medical procedure that they authorised. And this is sadly not the first time.

When I called Discovery on Friday afternoon, I immediately asked to be escalated to a Manager, I advised that I was starting to lose my patience and expected a call back with an answer by the end of the day. Needless to say I did not get a call back. I then called again on Monday morning to learn that the person I had spoken to was in fact not a manager, but rather an escalations agent. The lady that I spoke to reassured me that she would resolve the matter. And that it would be resolved by the latest Wednesday lunch time. Needless to say no one contacted me. When I called her she promised to call back by the end of the day on Wednesday. She once again did not keep her commitment. Instead I got an email from her that the matter would be resolved within 48 hours. Another empty promise?

Why do companies not take customers seriously when they say they starting to lose their patience. It is so sad when the only way to your query resolved is when you go public
