Poor service on mother's day

I took my family to breakfast at Avianto on 12 May 2013 for mother's day. I booked a table the day before. When we arrived no table was set up for us. Once they managed to set up the table it was in the doorway as there was not enough space for all. Once we sat down we noticed there was one place setting short. It took them 15 minutes to fix that. The coffee was weak and cold. The staff were overwhelmed or under-trained and not coping. The buffet table was constantly short of food with empty platters. There was one 2-slice toaster to serve everybody. Staff pushed my wife and daughter out of the way to get served. I tried to have some fruit juice but there was so hardly any juice and so much pulp you could only eat it with a spoon. Once I got some food I noticed that my entire setting consisted of knifes; no forks or spoons. When the manager on duty came by and asked how we were enjoying our breakfast, he did not even offer an apology when I raised the above-mentioned issues. I raised these issues in an e-mail but was ignored.

At R140 per person I expect much more from an establishment and at least a reply on my e-mail.
