Shallow and extremely poor service

Having visited the Melissa's in Cape Town towards the end of 2012 and having been served the burger on the first occasion, blood rare and cold in the middle, where we complained only to be served with another frozen burger middle, we were provided with a gift voucher of R100 as a form of an apology.
Intent on using our voucher in Parkhurst for a relaxing and tranquil breakfast, we were met with significant delays in providing food. Firstly, we were given a table waiting notice but given the distinct lack of staff and/or inept staff, a couple of 4 occupied our table where I politely asked them to move on!! Clearly, no-one was watching or had the capacity to assist customers in terms of prioritisation.
In terms of the food, not only did it take approximately 40 minutes to cook an omelette (and complaining twice during the time in terms of what was taking so long) but by the time it had arrived, the breakfast muesli, fruit and yoghurt had been cleared away (it had gone 1200) and on complaining, this re-emerged but with the 'dregs' of the fruit left!
We didn't pay for the food and why should we - the voucher we have is useless given that we would never return again!!!
