DAMAGE TO ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT

In Feb lightning killed my fax machine and my router. Nedbank Insurance wanted a damage report to say the goods are not repairable before they would pay my claim. They suggested Clive's TV and Electrical as a good place to go in my area for the damage report. Nedbank said they would pay Clive's invoice for the report. My husband told Clive (actually his son) that the goods had been "thrown away" and replaced by us already. My husband did not literally mean thrown away. The son told my husband they only dealt with tv reports. When I phoned to protest to Clive himself, he backtracked and made my husband out to be a. He also contradicted his son by saying they do a lot of damage reports for insurance companies and my husband should make a second trip to their shop for assistance. I have now made a plan to take the items all the way down to Early Bird in Pinetown. I wish Nedbank Insurance would not refer their clients to Clive's as their attitude is unhelpful and upsetting.
