TV will not convert 2D to 3D, as claimed

Good day

I recently purchased a Samsung 3D TV, model UA40D6000SR. On the Samsung web site, communications, and marketing material it claims "All Samsung TVs can convert 2D to near-3D quality". A link to this claim [URL Removed] .

My 3D tv cannot convert 2D to 3D. This is the reason why I purchased the tv, to convert normal 2D to 3D, especially I would have liked to watch sport in 3D.
