Samsung SA not covering international warranty

Hi. I bought a Samsung galaxy note 3 in dubai on 12 January 2014 which came with a Samsung smartcare 24 month international warranty which included South Africa. Two days after I got back I noticed a slight pressure input problem on my s pen, meaning I have to press really hard with the s pen to write. I then took my phone to the Samsung store in Canal Walk on Saturday the 25 January and they referred me to Samsung smartcare centre in century city. I went to Samsung smartcare on Saturday the 1 February and waited half an hour in a queue only to be told that Samsung South Africa does not cover international warranties. I then started to wonder why is it that Samsung Uae confirmed that Samsung South Africa does support international warranties but Samsung South Africa says it doesn't, even though every other country supports Samsung international warranties. So I have 2 questions. 1. Why is it that Samsung South Africa does not support international warranties? 2. Why is its that other big cellphone companies (i.e Sony and BlackBerry) in South Africa Africa support international warranties but Samsung, one of the biggest electronic companies in the world, does not?
