Cant find parts anywhere

I bought an LG phone (L5) despite it not being a popular (cellphone) brand. I lost the battery shortly afterwards and I cannot find a battery (to buy) anywhere. Not even at the LG shop itself (at Vodaworld, before closing down). I've gone to numerous cellphone shops and even going to no name dealers that i know will not have genuine parts - just so I can get to use the phone.
Was I mistaken in buying a brand thats not popular?
Please help, its been months.
